This memorial website was created by wayne's younger sister Gail Bland to remember our dearest Wayne Nigel, Ernest Bland who was born in United Kingdom Leeds on February 11, 1987 and passed away on August 11, 2008. You will live forever in our memories and hearts.

Gail Comments: I cannot begin to describe how hard it is for all of us, his family, to live without wayne, he was the golden key that fit the whole of everyones heart, it hurts so much to sleep thinking that my big brother will never walk through the front door again.

It is so hard to sleep at night knowing that my big brother went out to war, and the thanks he got, was not enough for what he did.

I think about other families that have been through the pain and suffering that we are all still yet going through and will never be able to forget, the world should not come to this...!!!

Wayne was a true hero, funniest guy you could have met, very caring and protective, always made people smile and laugh no matter what the matter was.

Looking at all the pictures from before and whilst he was away in afghanistan, they all bring tears to my eyes, he was such a brave man, will be missed by not only us as a family, but his friends and people that knew wayne.

He went into the army as a boy, came out as a man, he changed in so many ways it was unbelievable, but he never gave up on any one.

LOVE YOU SO MUCH WAYNE...!!!
